Trudy Turpin

Trudy has 25 years experience teaching piano to students of various ages, from age 4 to 84. She is a graduate of Pacific Lutheran University with a degree in Music, specializing in piano performance and teaching, and studied under Dr. Calvin Knapp. She has been a member of Washington State Music Teachers Association since 1987, and has held the offices of secretary, newsletter editor, vice president, and president of the Tacoma chapter. Her students will benefit from the many opportunities this association provides, including performance with chamber and full orchestra, other recitals, evaluations, and competitions. Trudy is also a church pianist/ music director. In addition to teaching at the studio at Skelley Piano, Trudy teaches piano at Charles Wright Academy. She also does accompanying for choirs and solists and performs for weddings and other special events.
